Jouissance was produced using techniques traditionally practiced in the Burgundy region of France. This Chardonnay prominent blend has great complexity, freshness and minerality. On the nose you will find white flower, apple and lime followed by almond, toast and vanilla. On the palate you are met with grapefruit and pineapple with a long finish of lemon and vanilla.
This year, because of the young age of our vineyard, only 50% came from our vineyard. The other part came from different vineyards in Oliver and Kelowna.
This year, because of the hot summer, we aged the wine for 12 months in oak and two months in bottle before release.
