Fleur Bleue was produced using techniques traditionally practiced in the Burgundy region of France. It is a blend made mostly from Pinot Noir and Gamay. Fleur Bleue is a delicate, feminine red wine with floral and fruity aromas. It contains complex aromas of cherry blossom, white pepper and vanilla. The palate is dry, well balanced and elegant with notes of Bing cherry, spice and violet.
This year, because of the young age of our vineyard, only 50% of the grapes came from our vineyard. The other part comes from different vineyards in Oliver, Keremeos and Kelowna.
Ageing - This year, because of the hot weather, we aged the wine for 10 months (30% new French oak) and in bottle for one month before release.
Simplified Tasting Notes - Cherry Blossom, White Pepper, Bing Cherry, Hint of Vanilla
Varietals - A complex blend mainly consisting of Pinot Noir and Gamay.
