Our 2023 Skin Fermented Pinot Gris is an intriguing and captivating wine. It sparkles with star-like clarity and a pale garnet hue. Featuring wild alpine strawberries, black raspberry, and struck flint, with a subtle hint of wild fennel and saffron on the nose. The palate opens with a snap of tart fruit, leading to the taste of Mirabelle plums grilled over hardwood coals, and finishes with lingering strawberries. Its refreshing acidity and a fine band of firm tannins create a balanced, light-bodied wine with good tension. Initially intended as a direct-press white wine, fate intervened, inspiring us to
showcase the beautiful color of the Pinot Gris grapes. The result is a stunning light red wine that fully captures the essence of the varietal.
